What is this tool?

The video compressor reduces video file size so it is easier to share or upload. Pick a level (High, Medium, Light) and it re-encodes to H.264 (MP4), then shows how much smaller the result is. Everything runs on the ffmpeg engine inside your browser — files are never uploaded. The engine (~30 MB) is fetched once on first use, and longer clips take more time.

Are my uploaded files sent to a server?

No. Everything runs only on your own computer, inside your browser, and your files are never sent to a server or anywhere else. So you can use it with complete peace of mind, without worrying about your file contents leaking.
