僕雖書生 受命主上

ko나는 비록 서생이지만 주상의 명을 받았다. 나라가 그대들에게 내 밑에서 굽히기를 요구하는 것은, 내게 조금이나마 취할 것이 있고 치욕을 참으며 무거운 짐을 질 수 있기 때문이다.
ja私は書生の身とはいえ、主上の命を受けている。国が諸君に私の下で屈することを求めるのは、私に幾らか取るところがあり、恥を忍んで重い任を負えるからだ。
The scene behind the words
When the young Lu Xun took supreme command at Yiling, the veterans of Sun Ce’s day scoffed at his orders — until, hand on sword, he spoke these words. He owns the insult ("a schoolboy") and relocates authority in competence and endurance. On that grip rested six months of patience and one decisive fire.
