The scene behind the words
During the Hanzhong campaign, Zhao Yun flung open the gates of an empty camp, spooked Cao Cao’s pursuers into suspecting a trap, then hammered their retreat with drums and crossbows. Touring the field next morning, Liu Bei spoke this verdict. Liu Bei said it — but it defined Zhao Yun forever; the army thereafter called him the General of Tiger Majesty.
