The scene behind the words
The grand strategy Lu Su offered at his very first meeting with Sun Quan, sharing wine on the same couch. Seven years before Zhuge Liang’s more famous plan, it stared down the era’s pieties: the Han was finished, and Cao Cao would not fall quickly. Sun Quan demurred politely — and Wu followed the blueprint exactly.
