ja悪が小さいからといって行ってはならず、善が小さいからといって行わずにいてはならない。
The scene behind the words
From the testament the dying Liu Bei left his son at Baidicheng. Its power lies in what a hero who had contended for the empire chose to say last: not grand ambitions, but the ethics of small daily acts. It remains a first-line maxim of moral education to this day.
